Junckers' unique technology that created their press dried beech makes this floor harder than maple. Along with ash and oak, beech is one of Europe's widespread hardwood species spreading from Norway to Spain. The strength properties of the wood in combination with a uniform structure with golden-white to reddish sapwood and red-brown grain pattern provides a light and classic floor.
The 2-Strip Board Hardwood Flooring is designed as a series of individually picked wooden strips, laid in a staggered pattern. Combining this pattern with all the unique strips gives a flooring full of personality and vibrance.
Harmony grade is the unique name that Junckers have given to their natural grade products. It's characterized with a slight variation in colour, hairline splits and medium-sized wood knots occur to some degree.
Underfloor heating works to perfection under Junckers solid hardwood floors because, unlike tiles and stones, solid wood is naturally warm and pleasant, whether or not the heating is on.
Each board is assembled from two rows of staves by a glued double dovetail construction. Each board is tongue and grooved on all four sides.
